London Approved Make Up

Yesterday was all about the skincare, today I’ll show you what make up will behopping across the Channel with me for this bachelorette trip. Gotta look good for all that shopping, laughing, fancy dinners and drinks! No elegant look without a good base, so my beloved Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base was the first to make the cut. The best BB Cream I’ve tried in yonks obviously has to come as well, so in went the Givenchy Teint Couture Balm, together with Sisley Phyto Cernes concealer. A great, no frills concealer with a cooling applicator, a double treat for my sore eyes. Sisley really has got the eyes covered, because the Sisley Mascara So Intense and the Sisley Eyeliner So Intense also made the cut! The  Diorblush Cheek Sticks has been my partner in crime for a little pop of subdued colour (think English Rose, not Jersey Shore), and the The Diorskin Nude Cosmopolite will serve as highlighter this weekend. A little hint of Burbery Rosewood is perfect throughout the day, and when night falls and I want to …

London calling – A Skincare Menu

I’m London bound again (yay!!!) and this time, it’s no business and all pleasure (double yay!!!). This city has always held a special place in my heart, being there feels like coming home (proof here) and to say that I am über excited to go back, is an understatement! The reason behind this trip makes it even sweeter, my darling friend is getting maried next Spring, so instead of doing some pub crawl or get a stripper or something, we’re off on a bachelorette trip! Ladies only! It’s going to be exciting, enticing and overwhelming, but above all, it’ll be a weekend to remember! Weekends to remember, and especially weekends to remember can play a little number on your skin, so I’ve packed a little skincare menu to be prepared. You know, better safe than sorry. It might be a bit preposterous to pack two masks if you’re only going away for the weekend (not doing travel sizes over here, sorry!), but a severe allergic reaction has turned my skin into a Sahara-like dehydrated, bumpy mess …

Victoria Beckham at Dover Street

Vicky B has come a long way… Long gone are the days of her Posh Spice persona, of black sheath Prada and Gucci dresses and of austere, tight lipped half smiles. Ever since the launch of her eponymous fashion brand, Mrs Beckham, ever the epitome of understated elegance, has proven collection after collection that class is in the  details, in the cut of the pieces, the choise of fabric and quality thereof, the understanding that less truly is more. If anything, Victoria Beckham has well understood that lesson and has, in the 6 years since launching her own brand, shown multiple times that she is a sartorial force to be reckoned with. After having diversified her original line with it’s sister line Victoria, Victoria Beckham, her accessories and handbags, the natural next step in the evolution of her brand was the opening of a very first flagship. Located a hop and a skip away from Dover Street Market; a monolith concrete sliding door opens into 6.000 square feet of hush tones, providing everyone that enters …

London wishlist.

I’m in London at the moment on a business trip, and it feels like I’ve come home. This city, intriguing, exciting, enticing and overwhelming as she is, has a way of making me feel like this is where I belong, even though my home and heart are elsewhere. To say that London is a shopping-walhalla, would not only be stating the painfully obvious, but also a gigantic understatement. Beauty, fashion, luxury accessories, you can shop yourself into oblivion here and easily spend a multinational’s yearly turnover in a single-afternoon’s spending session at Harrods or Selfridges. Everywhere you turn there’s just always something alluring that you can’t find at home but very much need in your life.  For a blogger like myself, this city and it’s decorated streets with beautiful window stills everywhere is pure heaven. There’s an endless list of beauties that I have my heart set on each time I pop across the Channel, and this time it’s no different. Additionally, when you have enablers such as Phil and Katia fuelling that list each …
