Hair Treats

A few months ago I started dying my hair again. That whole “I’m going to rock my natural hair colour”-thing didn’t exacly do it for me, so I am back to being an blonde and basking in it! My hair is a frizzy mess if I don’t style it, but a dry mess when I take care of that frizz, so with three blow dries a week, I need a few power troopers to keep my tresses soft and silky. Would now be a good time to share my recent hair care favourites with you? Hair treat no 1 is the Phyto Paris Phytomillesime Beauty Concentrate Leave-In Concentrate, a leave-in treatement formulated specifically for coloured hair. The red bottle does not only represent my love for Phyto haircare (That Phyto 7 Hydrating Cream… Oh my!!), it also matches the “Phyto Red Love Apple Technology” which is created to protect you tresses from external aggresors, heat and subsequent damages. It is a leave-in treatment (#myfavouritekind), so I scrunch this into my towel-dried hair before blow-drying it. A few …

Schwarzkopf Nature Moments

Hair… When it’s looking good, you’re on top of the world, when it falls flat, so do you. With the organic beauty movement still gaining momentum, our desire to go green, soil associated or natural for our  haircare, skincare and make just keeps on growing, and the people at Schwarzkopf understood that this was the perfect time to marry all natural ingredients to their know how and drugstore prices for a pontential triple win. The Schwarzkopf Nature Moments line is brand spankin’ new, pH neutral, contains extracts from 100% natural origin (quite a smart cliam this one, dancing around the 100% green and organic sourced nature of the ingredients) and consists of 5 sub lines , based upon different hair types and needs. The LLS family bathroom has seen some heavy rotation and rigourous testing , and all 5 lines have been tried, tested and assessed. Mediterranean Olive Oil & Aloë Vera AKA the family favourite!  Designed to tend to and nourish damaged hair without weighing it down, the olive oil puts the bounce and shine …

My Hair Has Gone Into Weekend Mode….

And so have I! After a few weeks of plainly tending to my hair, and giving it all it needs, I’ve been slowly thinking about styling it a bit, changing it up a bit. Now don’t go imagining elaborate updo’s or twisted braids, my hairdressing skills don’t exactly go further than messy waves or a top knot… Soft, tousled waves  have long seemed like an impossible dream—the hair equivalent of no-makeup makeup, appearing effortless, but more often than not, requiring a batallion of tools. However, these two recent discoveries have proven to be quite handy (see what I did there :-)) and not a tool in sight but a spritz, a crunch and my two hands. Step one is the Miriam Quevedo White Caviar White Glacial Leave-In Conditioner. Miriam Quevedo has already seen some love on this blog before (see here), and this new spray continues that love streak. A combination of oils (Camellia, Baobab and White Caviar), Vitamins and Hyaluronic Acid keep my tresses strong, bouncy, resilient and frizz free without weighing them down, …

Weekend Hair

The weekend is almost here! *anyone else counting down those hours?* Time to relax, loosen those reigns a bit and let down my hair. Quite literally, because I can’t stand my hair falling in front of my face whilst working, so I usually put it up in a bun or a pony tail *exciting hair times…* These chilly mornings and my annual corresponding frizzy and dull winter hair had me yearning for that perfect chic wavy lob that I had perfected over the summer, so I came up with a plan to rock that beloved summer hair all winter long. Step 1: Get an appointment with my favourite hairdresser to chop off 15 cmto get it back that razor sharp shoulder length I want…. Check! Last week I finally went for it, had 10 cms chopped off and went back to my roots (quite literally…). Step 2: Get out the big guns. My hair is dead straight and heavy, even the slightest of waves needs a batallion of products, so I am always on the …
