Filorga Oil Absolute

Bonjour mes amours! It is the week of love, and if there is anything I love, love, love in beauty, face oil takes that crown. My adoration of face oils has been well documented here on LeenLovesStyle, especially when my skin’s feeling dry and tight due to a change in seasons, a lack of hydration or after a retinol or AHA binge. I usually have a few of them on rotation, but the one I’m reaching for the most lately is Filorga Oil-Absolute Ultimate Anti-Ageing Serum. Wait, what? Serum? Oil? Can it be both? Filorga markets this as a ‘facial oil with the power of a serum’, promising to improve the look of wrinkles, even out skin tone and boost its radiance. Filorga + face oil? I was ready to dive in, literally and figuratively! The ingredient list is always the perfect place to start, and the one for the Filorga Oil Absolute reads like a who’s who of skincare Tinseltown. Reigning supreme is a blend of several natural oils, with buruti and camellia being the most enticing ones. …

Filorga Optim-Eyes

The eyes have it, or so they say. And if indeed, the eyes really do have it, better make sure that those eyes look stellar. Which, at the moment, they don’t. Saggy, sallow, blue-ish circles and slightly bloodshot eyes, it not exactly a sight for sore eyes. Just sore eyes, that’s more like it. The skin around your eyes is around 20 times thinner than anywhere else on your body, and if you think about how often you blink or rub your eyes on a daily basis, it makes total sense to prioritize a good eye-care routine. I’ve been searching high and low for a new eyecream to take over from tthe La Roche-Posay Redermic, and after a few misses, I decided to go with what I know, and gave the Filorga Optim-Eyes Line a try. Filorga has long been a beloved brand of mine (don’t believe me? Read here), and after a few allergic reactions, I was eager to find something that would work. As is always the case with Filorga, the Optim-Eyes Line redefines …

Filorga Scrub & Mask

One month later my lower cheeks – chin area is still recovering from over-, over-, overindulging at Christmas. Multiply that with a bout of stress at work, add in everyday environmental pollution and office heating systems, and you can guess what I’m struggling with at the moment. As with all living things, oxygen is the number one thing our skin craves, even more than cleansing, a balanced diet or keeping those hydration levels up. Vital as oxygen is, skin cells wouldn’t even last 2 – 3 minutes, and Filorga caters to that need. Bringing a new boost of oxygen to my routine is the Filorga Scrub & Mask Reoxygenating Exfoliating Mask, new in it’s approach and new in it’s application. Softly massaged into dry skin, the super heated perlite particles dissolves dead skin cells, while the enzymatic compound provides a gentle exfoliation needed to completely clean up your upper skin layers. After all that hard work, it’s time to play as the mask further develops on your skin. A minute or so later, the formula …

Filorga Hand Absolute Ultimate Rejuvenating Hand & Nail Cream

More than often neglected in the fight against those first signs of ageing, wrinkled and vein-y hands form a stark contrast against a dewy, fresh and youthful appearance. Part of the masking game that is the anti-ageing routine (let’s be honest, no one wants to show their true age), our hands are as much in need of TLC as our face does. Madonna, dear Madonna, you can have all the botox you want, but veiny, blue streaked hands and thinner skin, covered in pigmentation only makes matters worse. Filorga, nestled deep in both the heart of anti ageing cosmetics and my bathroom (just do a little search on LLS, my love for the brand will be apparent), decided to tackle this hands-on (yes, pun intended), and developed the Filorga Hand Absolute Ultimate Rejuvenating Hand & Nail Cream. As always with Filorga, they want to go for a double whammy, targeting the the aging tell-tales, and giving our hands a younger, fresher and smoother appearance in no time. No expenses were spared, so the formulation behind this …

Leen Travels – A Light Skincare Menu

Aaaaand we’re off! A week-long break, a little R & R before the summer rush! The only problem here? Those kids take up a lot of space leaving only a slither of trolley and toilet bag space for mummy, and yours truly does not know how to travel lightly… Leen + no options = not a match made in heaven. That does not mean I don’t want to try, and with just a little make up bag and the type of holiday in mind, I pared it down the bare essentials. But boy, downsizing is bloody difficult! A good cleanser is indispensable, so the Ren Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth was the first to make the cut. A solid, no frills cleanser that can tackle every layer of make up or sunscreen, but is extremely gentle on my skin as well. Multitasking is key here, so that’s why the Pure Lavender Hydrolat Toner is also coming with me. A firm staple of mine since the first spritz (want to know why I love it so much? Check …

Filorga Detox Body Treatment – Getting that skin summer ready

Bikini season is peepin’ round the corner, and getting that body of mine bikini ready is becoming more and more urgent. Losing 15 kg or 15 cm before July is going to be a mission impossible, but a detox for mind and body to eliminate all those pesky toxins is a first step in the right direction. Filorga, the French medi-cosmetic power house, has developed their first body product, and it directly taps into the detox trend. We women all have our problem areas, our bellies, upper legs and breasts aren’t always what we’d like them to be. A little too saggy or swollen, a stretch mark here or a some cellulite there (Or all of those… guilty as charged), we all have our hang ups we want to banish. The Filorga Detox Body Treatment* is a nourishing body product that wants to tackle our 3 main problems: swollen legs or belly, sagging bits and bobs and dry, patchy and itchy skin, so it goes without saying that I am extremely curious! Shea butter immediately soothes and softens …

Testing testing – Filorga Perfect + Perfect Skin Serum

It’s been a rough few skin (food coma, late nights, overdose of fizzie and all that), and it is definitely showing on my skin. Bloated cheecks, dry, red patches, dull skin and a spotty chin, I look like a true fairy princess… To add insult to injury, I just ran out of my beloved 001 Skincare Active Marine Concentrate, so  I have to dive back into testing, face first. Out came the Filorga Perfect+ Perfect Skin Serum, the newest offering from the French dermo-cosmetics specialist targeting multiple skincare problems modern day such as ourselves may suffer from, such as fine lines and wrinkes, dull, blotchy skin, widened pores and a general rougher skin texture. Sounds like a dream? That’s what I’m her for to find for you. This Monday, I started testing this serum and I’ll keep you updated as I keep testing it over the next few weeks. I’ll report back to you in a few weeks, and we’ll see if it is a mid-winter wonder or a dodgy do-not-go-there. Post-Christmas skin troubles, be gone! …

Filorga Anti-Ageing Micellar Solution.

Also known as the trusted friend for those early mornings or late nights where I just can’t be bothered with a full double cleanse (shame on me, I know…). Wet wipes might be preferred by others, but considering that I fall into the “wet wipes are the devil’s beauty tool” category, I would rather be caught waking up with my make up still smeared over my eyes than use wet wipes. Shortly put, no matter how tired or lazy I am, wet wipes will never see the light of day in my bathroom. Flights, fannies and festivals, people! Or flights, festivals and fitness in P’s case! Saying that every micellar water is just about the same is like saying that The Guardian and The Daily Mail are both papers, and therefore the same. The Filorga Anti-Ageing Micellar Solution* is the Queen Bey of micellar waters! Touted as a cleansing solution with not only extra strenghtened hydrating properties but also anti-ageing purposes and anti-inflammatory boosters, and to be honest; from the French house specialized in estethic medicine …

Help needed!

Time to be honest! Ever since having 2 children and between trying to combine those with a full time job, a househould and the blog, my organisational skills have been tried and tested, failed and improved, put through the wringer and strechted to the extreme. Shortly put, they have been the cornerstone and foundation of my day to day life, the difference between (somewhat) smooth sailing and utter stress and desperation. The school/daycare/playtime schedule has been perfected, weekmenu’s are created every weekend and their wardrobes and daily outfits, well let’s just say I’ve got that down to a t. My beauty organization however is in shambles. Lost between products to test in 2 storage cupboards, a bathroom cabinet, a bathroom drawer, a shelf and a nightstand, my skincare and cosmetics collection is nothing short of pure clutter, and I forget to use at least half of the great stuff that I have, only because I don’t know where to look first. Additionally, clutter drives me crazy and turns me into a nervous wreck, so my …

Filorga – BB Perfect
