5 Instagrams That Make My Heart Bloom

AKA credit where credit’s due… I admit, I am a social media addict, and especially Instagram knows how to tug my heart strings (and keep my mind occupied). Any moment of the day, Instagram is awash with beautiful feeds, pops of colours, floral hints of pastel and anything to please my visual OCD. Nothing inspires me like a stunning visual, so I’ve pulled together my five favourite feeds of the moment all dusted with a hint of magic and a sprinkle of inspiration for all of you to enjoy.                                                           BEAUTYMINDED BE View this post on Instagram Ready for a new week? 🌴 beautyminded.be will have some new articles about these loves this week! ❤️ | #beautyminded #tomford #neroliportofino #aceandtate #glossier #chanel #lamer #maccosmetics #burgundytimesnine #spanishpink #lapiscine #byredo #orchidsoleil #jomalone #starmagnolia #deciem #theordinary A post shared by Katia | BEAUTYMINDED (@beautymindedbe) on Apr 17, 2017 at 9:35am …

5 Things – Fading into Fall

Back from maybe never gone, but it’s time again to get a bit more personal and zoom in on the 5 things that have set my heart racing these last few weeks. Fashion and food is pretty much all I can think about these days *still too bleedin’ hot to even be thinking about a full face of make up*, so it may not come as a suprise that today’s 5 things are fashion heavy…. First up, travelling just got a lot more stylish thanks to this Bugaboo Boxer. Venturing into luggage and travel gear, this adaptable system by Bugaboo is straight up my alley with it’s modular, interlocking cases and sleek design. Perfect partners for city trips or short escapes away with the Boxer are this stunning Mango Shirt Dress and Cosia Cashmere Scarf (Cashmere, grey and Dutch, win win win!). A slick of the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Love Bite lipstick, aka the perfect red-hot lippie, and I am good to cruise into Autumn! Lastly, one of my favourite fashion brands made their colletions even more …

5 Things

It’s been a while since I last did one of these 5 Things articles, giving you a peek inside my head and try to decipher the constant internal rambling that goes on in there. Beauty, fashion, interior design, work planning, kids wardrobes, that’s only a fraction of what rushed through my mind any given day these last few weeks, so how about we dive straight in? Everyone that knows me personally, knows that I work for a green and renewable energy company, so when fashions meets sustainabilty, I am all ears! Marks and Spencer brought their Clothes Exchange to Belgium this week, and I was bopping around like a kid on Christmas Eve, giddy with excitement. For each donation of used clothes and 30 euo purchase, you get a 5 euro voucher. Out with the old, in with the new, extra budget for a next shopping trip and putting in your 2 cents for Mother Nature, what’s not to like?! Looking online for decoration inspiration for my future kitchen remains one of my favourite pastimes, …

Five Things – Cool Kids Brands

Friday is here, another week has come and gone again, and what better way to spend your weekend with a spot of shopping (online or offline, as you wish!). If you’re like me, chances are that you’ve turned your kids’ wardrobe into your own personal styling project (Ain’t nobody touching it but me! Seriously!), and if so, here are 5 über stylish kids’ fashion brands you need to discover! Emile Et Ida French, cute, playful, do you need any other reason? The brainchild of Delphine and Céline, 2 Parisian mamans, the pieces are refined but easy-going at the same times, with folk and rock touches. Looks so pretty that the mums will love their kids in it, but are so comfortable the littles ones will have no problem letting loose in.  Especially their sweatshirts are too sweet, and have me caving in every time! But which one to choose next for A? The Viking? The Rain one? Oh and that kitty cat one for Miss C! Stella McCartney Kids I might be pointing out the obvious …

Wishlist Wednesday – Terre Bleue Sales

Sales are here!!! A self imposed shopping ban ends now, time to go crazy,  hit the shops and get that credit card plastic burning!  Mission for this sale season? Trying to be sensible and practical (let’s see how long it takes for that one to go flying out the window). Focus on items that can be easily combined with several pieces already in my (overcrowded) wardrobe, work on several occasions and can be worn longer than only on the hottest day of the year (which just so happens to be today…).  First stop on my shopping spree: Terre Bleue. A brand largely ignored by me for being too humpty frumpty, I was proven wrong when I started to dig a bit deeper and looked past my original prejudices. Result: a wishlist as long as my arm… Will hopefully be mine after today: two gorgeous sweaters that will look good in every season, with every separate in my closet, a gorgeous tongue in cheek parrot print playsuit, the numero uno multitasker, a navy blue jumpsuit, and …

5 Things – The Wishlist edition

Seems like an eternity since I last feautured a 5 thing post here on LeenLovesStyle, but no fear, we are easing back into the swing of these (whilst trying not to overload you dears with too many product reviews…). First up, a few of the items that have jumped onto my wishlist (it is Wednesday after all!). Edited down to the five picks that have caught my eye, here we go! * Reiss has done it again! Browsing their webshop for a few ideas for my little sis’  wedding later this year quickly turned into a full on love fest! Currently racing through my mind are the Alexia shorts and this Hermione top, and how breathtaking are those cut-out sandals? Or pair them with that makes-me-want-to-play graphic playsuit? * The Christopher Kane for NARS Collection: Whenever NARS presents something new, I am all eyes and ears (NARS Fanclub? Where do I sign up?), and the very moment I spotted this new collaboration on Harpers Bazaar, I was sold! Based on the spectrum of reds and pinks used by Christopher Kane in …

The perfect shoe wardrobe – 5 pairs every woman should own.

Whenever I am having a girlie chat with my friends, a little downtime with my female co-workers or somer serious obsessing with my blogging besties, at one point the conversation will undoubtedly turn towards that very item that pulls at every woman’s heartstrings. A beautiful pair of shoes is a true work of art, and whilst I believe you can never have too much shoes, there are 5 styles that ought to be incorporated in every wardrobe. These 5 will see you from day to night, from casual to super chic, and will put just about any and every outfit together. Think about it as your little cheat sheet for the next time you want to go shoe-shopping. A black pump Also known as the cornerstone  of my wardrobe! A beautiful, slender heeled black pump complement everything from a skinny jeans to a cocktail dress, and will take you from the work floor straight to the dance floor. Matte leather or suede as you like, just try to avoid the shiny, cheap looking plastic ones. Black boots Another workhorse shoe.  Ankle boots …

Procrastination Central – My Favourite Tumblr Hangouts

“Queen of Procrasstination“. That should be my official title! Really, my time-wasting powers are epic and incredibly well trained. Reading mails and tweets when I should be reseaching, WhatsApp’ing my friends when I should be taking product pictures and to top it all, endlessly scrolling Tumblr acounts when I should be putting pen to paper (or fingertips to keyboard), coming up with new posts and content. Many a draft is still stuck in my draft folder because I got lost in the deep, dark depths of my favourite Tumblr pages. That is, until yesterday, when, in the midst of such a gigantic time-wasting Tumblr trip, I had a lightbulb moment, and figured “Why not share these beloved pages that steal so much of my time, and let you join in on my prefereed way of efficiently being inefficient!” Online Stylist: Amanda’s blog and Tumblr have been a severe addiction of mine ever since discovering her little spot on the internet a lttle over a year ago. Stylish, down to earth, breathtaking images, and best of …

5 Things – The Kids Edition

It’s been a while since I last gave you a sneak peek into my mind via these 5 little titbits, and this time, it is all about the little ones. Autumn officially started earlier this month, and, as if it was programmed as such by Mother Nature, the Indian Summer we have been experiencing for the last few week is slowly fading away, making way for sunny mornings, crisp blue skies, falling leafs and best of all, pumpkin spice lattes. As much as I love this change of seasons, when it comes to my 2 little rugrats, it means only one thing: clothes, clothes and more clothes. Autumn also means the start of a new school year, and my toddler somehow managed to either have grown out of or played a tad too enthousiastically in all of his trousers and long-sleeve T-shirts. Little Miss Diva of course couldn’t stay behind so she decided to outgrow all of her clothes as well in a matter of a mere forthnight. These 5 discoveries have made me hog the …

5 Things

Sneak peek time…Here’s what’s been racing through my mind the last week. * Family time: an off the cuff remark made by one of my dearest friends got me to thinking about families, time spent together and the quality and quantity of said time. Hearing her say how much she misses those planned and unplanned dinners with the family makes me realize how lucky I am to have such a great, easygoing relationship with my parents, sister and in-laws. * Preen By Thornton Bregazzi for Nails Inc: It’s not easy for any nailpolish or make up brand to come with new, exciting colours that we haven’t seen before, but this cooperation between the nailpolish brand and the über cool fashion house makes me want to have them all, right here right now! Atlantic and Florida with a little touch of Deco Cuts is all I’ll ever need on my tippy toes this summer! * Guess Mistry shoes: These shoes have been the object of my affection ever since I saw them for the first time, …
