Back to blogging?

Hey there! How are you? It’s been a while, I know. Who would have thought? How a worldwide quarantine tricked me out of my blogging confinement.  A whole year has come and gone, a new one has started once more (and what a year 2020 has been up to now). I’ve been away for quite a while, and I’d love to reconnect with you. My lastpost dates back to December 2018, and I kind of hit a wall around that point. In the months prior, I had been running myself ragged, stressing and fretting constantly, not only about life or work, but especially about blogging. Inspiration had flown straight out of the window, that love and passion seemingly evaporated and all but lost, and I just did not want to blog anymore. Sounds crude, I know, but if I’m being completely honest, that’s exactly what it was. I just did not feel like blogging anymore. The ever-changing nature of blogging, Social Media and PR had thrown me for a loop, especially the whole (Instagram) Influencer …

Wishlist Wednesday – K/Metal Signature Bag

Bonjour mon amour! As much as Mr Lagerfeld would disapprove on sight if he ever met me (double digit size, strong willed and quick-witted, it’s fair to say I do not behold to Mr Lagerfeld’s standard of what a woman should be), I must concede that he does have an eye for beauty and elegance. From the first picture straight to my wishlist in a heartbeat, that’s about how my first impression of the new Karl Lagerfeld K/Metal Signature Shoulderbag went. Clean lines, smooth, strong and structured leather and one striking detail instead of tassels all over, je l’adore! Adorned with Mr Lagerfeld’s signature, the black one just exudes timeless elegance, yet gives off a little hipster vibe at the same time! Hey Mr B, we’ve got a wedding anniversary coming up….

Crazy For Coats

Autumn is finally here, but sweater weather isn’t the only thing I get excited about this season! Time to get those elegant, gorgeously tailored, stunning coats out of their summer residence, and no, I’m not talking about those pesky, bulky bombers or puffed up snow-proof winter coats *That Michelin Man look does not suit me* But these beauties? Striking colours, sharp cuts and that perfect layer to easy into colder temperatures, maybe I should make room for one or two more….  *Anyone else going shopping this weekend?* 1: Terre Bleue  / 2: Baukjen / 3: Scapa / 4: Baukjen / 5: Terre Bleue

Happy New Year!

2015 has come and gone, 2016 has begun, and so has all the fun! (See what I did there!). Even though the 1st of January is already behind us, I still wanted to take a little moment  before getting back into the swing of things. Before anything else, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support this past year! Every single read, like and comment (both on- and offline!) meant more to me than you’ll ever realize, and I am extremely grateful for each and every one of them.  2015 was a bit of a rocky year, both personally and on the blog, but a new year offers a chance to start afresh. Time to write that new chapter! For that new chapter, I would love your input! What do you want to see more or less of on LeenLovesStyle? Less beauty? Or even more beauty? Increase the fashion dose? Or maybe inject a bit more lifestyle? Maybe a bit more structure? Let me know …

Essentiel – Alice In Wonderland

A little stylish birdie at work pointed me in the direction of Essentiel’s newest collection, I took a peek, and down the rabbit hole I went! After their previous cheeky Bashful collaboration, Disney and Essentiel teamed up again, this time on a limited edition Alice In Wonderland Collection. The whimsical, wonderful world of Wonderland has been translated into bright pop-art pieces, sweet-but-cheeky t-shirts and graphic prints. Alice, Mad Hatter and White Rabbit, I’d love you all, but the Cheshire Cat pieces are the ones I really want to get lost with! Take a trip down the rabbit hole for my favourite pieces Available now online and in Essentiel stores. Pictures courtesy of Essentiel

Jumpsuit Season

While ’tis the season to be joyful, eat way too much, watch The Sound of Music for the millionth time in those cosy Christmas pyjama bottoms, there’s no escaping that Christmas party at the office or that family party everyone dreads. Instead of wondering which dress to wear this time, I plan on foregoing dresses alltogether this Yule time season, and go for gold every time in a jumpsuit. Classic black, with a lace back, striking crimson, budget friendly, structured elegance or a strapping strapless version, the possibilities are endless! Pair them with statement pieces or fine, understated necklaces, you can dress them up or down as you wish. Feeling chilly? Add in a tailored blazer, and once you escape that party to go dancing, guess what? No outfit change needed! What’s your favourite this season?

Saturdays Are For Sweaters

Autumn Saturdays are for sweaters, period! Why, I hear you ask? First up, there as comfy as can  be! There’s no denying that universal truth that no silk shirt, flowy top, v-neck or perfect fit button down will ever be as cozy as that sweater! Snug as a bug in a rug! On top of that, it’s versatility is seriously underestimated! We all know the glorified hipster uniform of skinnies and a (often oversized) sweater or chunky knit, and I too am guilty as charged! But why not up the glamour a notch this Saturday and replace the casual skinnies with something with a bit more oomph? And why not relish that last sunny Autumn afternoon by combining with a pair of tuxedo shorts?  The shoulder embellishments on this soft grey Brax sweater are an excellent partner in crime for the elegance of the tuxedo shorts, while the knit and fit provide that necessary bit of casual counterweight.  A play of perfect opposites! Camel and Cashmere, my two favourite Autumn C’s

Nothing defines Autumn fashions like these two do! Intertwined like Coco and Chanel, the camel coat and cashmere pieces create that feel of luxury, elegance and comfort like no other pieces can. Dress any outfit up with a tailored camel mid length coat, et voila: instant chic! Add in this gorgeous dove grey cashmere sweater, and the perfect Autumn weekend outfit is born! A softness that you just want wrap yourself in, and when combined with a white pair of jeans (who says you can’t wear white after Labour day?) and an even more delectable cashmere scarf? I think I’ve found my uniform! Camel Coat / Cashmere Sweater / Cashmere Scarf: Massimo Dutti White Jeans: H&M Shoes: Converse

Birthday Wishlist – It’s that time of the year again!

Another year has come and gone, and my birthday is here again. My roaring twenties might have turned into thriving thirties, but every birthday is the occasion par excellence for the only things that’s great about birthdays: presents!! Being the good girl that I am, I’ve had this little list ready for quite a while, so if anyone wonders what I’m dreaming about, I’m more than happy to share with you! This Marks & Spencer camel or dark grey fedora to get me through winter, the Givenchy Antigona Medium Duffel Bag in black that I’m still dreaming about, or maybe these stunning black croco print H&M ankle booties! Burberry‘s lipstick and nail polish in Oxblood are instant classics, and need to make their way to my bathroom stat! Baukjen still is one of my favourite brands, and these Dorchester houndstooth separates will take me from day to night, with the Magali Pichasi bangle being the perfect daytime arm candy, and the Sophie Bille Brahe Rève Diamante earrings to add a bit of sparkle to any …
