When Sisley does make up, it’s never just make up. Make up with benefits doesn’t even cover it, but it’s a great start. Both my skin and the luxury-loving kitten within loves the brand and all it comes up with, and their two latest releases aren’t any different. Enfusing a high dose of skincare into each of their make up launches, let’s see how their new eyeliner and finishing powder deliver in that department, and on my skin.
I’ve always been a big fan of Sisley make up, their Sisley Phyto Teint Expert All-Day Long Skincare Foundation in Sand still is my number one foundation, and Sisley Phyto-Poudre Libre* is supposed to be the perfect sidekick. An airy, almost feather-like powder, soft and silky to the touch, creates this nourishing veil on my skin, but in this way that makes you have a little re-look at yourself in the mirror. When used alone, it doesn’t do much, but when combined with a BB cream (especially the Filorga BB Cream) or a foundation, that’s when the magic happens! Imperfections are blurred out, plus, radiance and a flawless finish are all of a sudden no longer unattainable dreams. Hibiscus flower, Lindenblossom and Mallow extracts preserve the skin’s hydration levels and suppleness (instead of drying it out like so many powders do), and keeps my skin looking fresh for a lot longer than many of the powders in my collection. No surprise these other powders have been banished to the darkest corners of my cabinet. And just look at that velvet-y perfection of an application cushion, and that sleek, chique, French-je ne sais quoi elegance oozing jar!
Nothing like a striking eye to enhance that already flawless basis, and the Sisley So Intense Eyeliner* really delivers! A jet black formula is a must for a black eyeliner, so the pigmentation on this one doesn’t disappoint (it truely is jet, jet, jet black!). The felt tip makes application a breeze, and that’s saying a lot for a clumsy amateur like myself! Sharp as a razor or thick like Cleopatra, whatever line you want, this pen will draw it with ease. Enriched with Wild Rose extract, Vitamin Peptide and Arganine for stronger, fuller and longer lashes, it also contains Pro-Vitamin B5, Glycerin of vegetable origin, Cornflower and Gardenia extract to keep the liquid from drying out, flaking, fading or being rubbed away. Sisley, our love affair only continues to grow!
