Chances are that I look like a wreck at the moment. Beauty blogger or not, a lack of sleep has this way of causing havoc on your skin and appearance, and no one knows this better than mothers! My two little munchkins have been messing up my nightly dose of zzzzzzz’s lately, and my skin and eyes (Bags down to my knees! Red, blotchy, grainy skin!) are showing for it! However, I have a few little tricks up my sleeve that jolt my skin right back into thinking it had a full night’s sleep, after a comforting mug of ginger & lemon tea and a bowl of organic yoghurt with blueberries and some apple spiced walnut muesli, these lifesavers come out to do their job!
The Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil is a longtime love of mine, if soulmates came in beauty products, this would be mine! A few drops after my serum and before my moisturizer perk my skin right up, adding the necessary moisture, nourishment and calmth while providing the Vitamin A that boosts my cheeks right back into shape. Of course, the healthy glow and slight colour you get from this face oil are a welcome bonus. Next step is to mix a drop or two of the Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster into my moisturizer to add some oomph to my complexion (I look like a right zombie at the moment!) and to even it all out a bit. This little miracle worker has been with me since the day it was launched, and or someone that always had a grudge against self-tanners, I am hooked!
Now that the skincare bit is over, on to the beauty zappers. First up, a light base with the Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream SPF 25 in Fair, a BB cream that packs a moisture punch and with more than average coverage. Leaning more towards the foundations than to a tinted moisturizer, this red tube houses a thick, creamy consistency that glides on without a hitch and gives me that perfect hint of coverage without cake-ing it on! An everyday favourite! Finishing touch is, as almost every day, the Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer Sheer Blonde, nothing like a light, gentle dusting of this ultra-performing superstar on my cheecks, nose, chin and forehead to fake 8 hours of snooze (or even a little tropical getaway…). A little coating of mascara and I am good to go (back to bed preferably!)
