Christmas lips

P1070336

Christmas celebrations have truly begun now (big Christmas Eve dinner tonight at my house!) and whereas my two previous looks focused on the eyes, the lips deserve some attention as well! Not everyone might want to rock a bright lippie when you’re about to start a several course food feast (hello food coma!), but if you still want to put your lips in the spotlight tonight, these three beauties are here at your service!

Let’s start with the softest option, the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Bonheur, a glossy, rich berry plum colour with a very fine sparkle that effortlessly glides onto your lips giving it a hunt of colour. If you want, you can build the colour a bit, but overall, it remains a beautiful bitten berry shade with a sheer and glossy finish.

If your prefer a fresher colour, the Sisley Phyto Lip Shine in Sheer Papaya. Another weightless, sheer option, it might look bright orange in the bullet, but it transforms into a delicate coral onto the lips, which livens up your face without being too overpowering. And as always with Sisley, your lips get some extra hydration to boost them through the night.

Last but not least, MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo. The brightest of them all, this is a classic! Not too cool, not too warm, neither a blue nor an orange undertone, this one comes close to being a perfect, pure red. Bright enough to make you feel powerful and kick ass cool when you’re wearing it, but still buildable enough that you can blend it in with your fingers or go full on with a brush and two layers. Unlike the other two, this is a matte one, so where the other two might need a touch up after those first few glasses of fizz, this one will take you all the way to dessert! Proof’s in the pudding!
