Another year has come and gone once more and before I knew it my birthday was rapidly approaching again! In just a few days I get to have my cake and eat it, and not think about the extra year that I’ll have to add to my age, even though, as far as I’m concerned, I’m still 25.  A good birthday celebration is not defined by the gifts received, but I cannot deny there are a few items that I’ve been coveting lately.

Victoria Beckham Laser Cut Quincy Bag:
One for the “I’ll keep on saving so any contribution is welcome” category. Mrs Beckham can do no wrong for me, and this cobalt piece of perfection is another proof of her effortless chic and no frills class. Smooth calf leather in a striking colour, with the laser cut design for an unexpected twist.

Allegra Mcevedy: Leon and Big Table, Busy Kitchen 
Fun, colourful and filled to the brim with must-try recipes, I first discovered these cookbooks by the delectable Mrs Mcevedy whilst sipping wine in one of my best friends’ kitchen. My inner Nigella Lawson purred and  rejoiced at once when I first saw these gems.  Fabulously written as one big love poem to food and it’s powers, these are not your normal, run of the mill cookbooks.  “around the world in 120 recipes” and “Bought, borrowed and stolen” are numbers 3 and 4 on my mouthwatering wishlist.

Byredo: Mojave Ghost
I blame Katia and Phil for this one. Described as “walk between genders: feminine at first, more masculine toward the end”. Senual without being too overpowering, a floral yet woody fragrance that had me hooked at the first sniff. As intriguing as it’s inspiration, the delicate Mojave Ghost flower.

The bottle, a display worthy deco piece on it’s own, offers a fragrance description of “Sun kissed salty skin”, and if ever there was an alluring scent composition to draw me in, that would be it! A fragrance to celebrate summer or evoke that feeling of the sun hugging your skin,

Esprit faux fur vest
Every autumn I decisively and loudly state that this will be the year that I finally dare to purchase (and wear) a sleeveless faux fur. And every autumn, I end up not finding one to my liking. This one might be the one though, quality faux fur without it bankrupting me, the perfect length and exact colour I’ve had in mind, Let this be the year that Mr B no longer has to hear endless tales of my faux fur obsession.
