Shocker, another Caudalie piece. I know, I know *holds hands in the air apologetically*, but there is something about this brand that is stronger than myself, if they release a new product or line, I simply just have to test it.
30+ anti-ageing producs seem to be all the rage at the moment (remember the SisleYouth?), and the new Caudalie Polyphenol C15 line* is aiming for that market as well, but with an added bonus. A serum, a fluid moisturizer and an eye cream, all ready to fight that fight for me? Bring it on (and be gone, fine lines and dullness!)! There is also a night oil to this range, which I still need to test.

Primary function of the line is to act as a super antioxidant, ie being a fierce protector against free radicals and a mighty oxidant booster. This protection from oxidative stress (eg pollution, stress, …) is imperative to keep wrinkles at bay or under control, hence the anti-ageing results.  Key ingrediënts for this powerplay are the grapeseed polyphenols, ie powerful molecules Caudalie extracts from their own grapes, and has been proven to be 10.000 times more effective than regular Vitamine E. Additionally, these polyphenols have been coupled with stabilised Vitamin C, so that the youth-preserving and protecting capacities of both ingredients are even intensified.  Come to look at it, this line is perfectly suitable for everyone (young and old) that exposes their skin to stress and pollution.

The Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum* has the highest concentration of polyphenols out of the entire range, and has been boosted with additional hyaluronic acid and olive squalane. Protection, plumping and prevention, all the p’s I need! A light, hydrating, refreshing liquid of which you only need a drop or two (a little goes a long way!), this serum has gone everywhere with me the last few months. Sometimes on it’s own, sometimes followed up by an oil and always combined with the fluid, this serum made me look decent during my stay on the maternity ward, saved my skin from daily pool visits during our recent holiday, made many a sleepless night disappear and even made me ditch the foundation as there was hardly anything to hide. And I’m still only halfway the bottle. Smoother and brighter skin has come forward, and I cannot do without anymore.

The Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti Wrinkle Eye and Lip Cream* has the same ingredients as the serum but with added Matrixyl 3000, a mix of peptides to erase and fight fine lines and wrinkles. Easy to apply, soft to the touch and not hindering to sensitive eyes, it sets quickly. Fine lines seem soften out quite a bit, and concealer has remained hidden away as well, as for me it also lessens that much hated blue sheen under my eyes. As effective as many of the high end eyecreams, for a fraction of the cost!
