I’m in London at the moment on a business trip, and it feels like I’ve come home. This city, intriguing, exciting, enticing and overwhelming as she is, has a way of making me feel like this is where I belong, even though my home and heart are elsewhere.
To say that London is a shopping-walhalla, would not only be stating the painfully obvious, but also a gigantic understatement. Beauty, fashion, luxury accessories, you can shop yourself into oblivion here and easily spend a multinational’s yearly turnover in a single-afternoon’s spending session at Harrods or Selfridges. Everywhere you turn there’s just always something alluring that you can’t find at home but very much need in your life. For a blogger like myself, this city and it’s decorated streets with beautiful window stills everywhere is pure heaven.
There’s an endless list of beauties that I have my heart set on each time I pop across the Channel, and this time it’s no different. Additionally, when you have enablers such as Phil and Katia fuelling that list each time you speak, it gets more and more difficult not to spend your month’s pay in one go when you’re here. So, without further ado, if ever I had Rockefeller providing me with an unlimited shopping budget, here’s what I’d like to take home with me:
Indeed Labs – Hydraluron Moisture Booster: After having read so many raving reviews singing this product’s praises, I am just too curious to find out if this really is that good. A clear gel brimming with hyaluronic acid, this serum is to be applied before your daycream and will infuse and lock hydration in your skin.
Antipodes – Aura Manuka Honey Mask: This New Zealand miracle worker is said to a must have mask. “A traditional remedy of New Zealand Maori people is antibacterial
manuka honey, which powerfully draws moisture to your skin to hydrate it
intensely. This facial mask delivers an intensely moisturising, cleansing and
antioxidising treatment. It is the ultimate solution for spots and blemishes”
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette: A 3-in-1 glow giver to cover imperfections and to make your skin seem lit from within.
Charlotte Tilbury: Her entire product range looks amazing, but especially the Colour Chameleon colour-morphing eyeshadow pencil in Amber Haze seems to be worth investigating.
Also quickly becoming the objects of my affection: that embossed leather Ipad case from Ralph Lauren at Harrod’s, the Bottega Veneta leather goods collection at Selfridges, the entire Christmas shop at Liberty and just about any piece from the Jaeger boutique on Regent Street. Now, where is that credit card…
